With the summer term being busy with school transition, parents information evenings and settling-in sessions, I know how nerve racking this can be, especially if it is your first time. I was so worried before Ruben started, was he really ready or shall I keep him home for another year. I had done lots of 'mummy' days with him and enriched his learning as much as could. I have to say looking back now, I know it was just like the fear I had before he was born, all absolutely fine, you just have to overcome the hurdle together.
How many parents feel all they do is shout at their children? I can definitely hold my hands up and say some days that is exactly how I feel. Do the recommendations you read online really work? Go to Little Laura's blog page to read further on how I am trying not to shout all the time at my children. I'm not perfect and sometimes I just snap regardless of what I know I should be doing.
As a mother, I fully understand what it is to be tired & have sleepless nights/ sleep disturbed. As someone who does not cope too well when I do not get a lot of sleep, I have always ensured my children are in good routines which help with sleep.
