Our Team

Little Laura’s employs a truly wonderful team.  Louise Ashwell-Symes is our Nursery Manager.  Louise has worked at Little Laura’s since July 2018, although Laura and Louise have known each other for eight years.  Louise was previously a manager in another setting, where she helped embed forest school into their daily lives and set up their baby room. Louise is Early Years Teacher trained and has forest school level 3 qualification. Louise is a great leader at Little Laura’s, everyone comments on how calm she is, it certainly shows in her practice and in the running of the nursery.  Louise and Laura work well together, creating a nursery that we believe really does give children great opportunities.

Little Laura’s has three qualified Early Years Teachers, one Level 6 practitioner, five Level 3 practitioners, two Level 2 who are both working towards their Level 3. We employ one unqualified person who has experience working with children and is also a mother herself.   Everyone that works at Little Laura’s has over three years experience working with children with half our team being mothers themselves.

We employ a chef too, Sophie, who cooks all our meals for the children.  She is in four days a week and always leaves us a home made dish to pop in the oven on the other day.
